This Lifestyle Design dances around what we carry our beloved possessions in everyday, the quintessential “Daily Bag”. I am a firm believer in quality, not quantity. Buy a few nice things, that are functional, stylish, and best quality. About 1.5 years ago, I bought the Celine calf skin leather tote bag at Barney’s for my “Daily Bag”. The leather is the best quality I have yet to experience. I put my laptop in there, and I’ve used this bag for my tennis stuff. I’ve even been stuck in the New England downpours, and the bag is in perfect shape. I am amazed!!! I use it everyday, and its simple stitching and elegant edges still give it a beautiful silhouette.
As our modern society moves towards such brand-centric purchases, Lifestyle Design, argues only to buy brands that actually offer the respective quality and style. That’s what couture used to be. Style reflects who you are, the choices you make, the life you want to live, your values. Let that kind of style reflect you. Redefine sexy.
Happy Saturday Everyone! Today’s Lifestyle Design is about styling up your hair with a little bling. In celebration of me finishing two final exams this morning, the light has come out! I write to you about something sparkly, the infamous Deepa Gurnani headbands, each handmade from real crystals and beads. I discovered them the other day at my hair stylists, Gino’s, where they are currently offering a few selections of these gorgeous pieces. I bought one for me and one for my sister, because they are so pretty! Depending on your style, you can wear them many different ways: hair up, down, somewhere in between. I envision the perfect place to sport them are at the beach for the summer.
Deepa Gurnani is the joint project of husband and wife Jay Lakhani and Deepa Gurnani. Their first line was launched at Henri Bendels in November 2006 and their current collection features jeweled belts, scarves, handbags and hair accessories. Each piece is individually handcrafted, but I especially love their headbands with rhinestones. They are not certainly not cheap, but hey, all things worth it in life, have a price! Live a little…
